Gather project requirements and understand the purpose of the space, its users, and any specific lighting needs. And develop a lighting program by creating a detailed brief outlining the project scope, budget, timeline, and any constraints or special considerations.

STAGE 2: CONCEPT DESIGN

Resolve the clients program into a design concept. The concept design phase is the initial stage in a building project and requires a fair degree of innovation, inspiration, and initiation on the part of the lighting designer.

STAGE 3: SCHEMATIC DESIGN

During the Schematic Design Phase, we clarify specific design criteria established during the concept design and use such criteria to design the initial lighting scheme.

STAGE 4: DETAIL DESIGN

Refinement is the best description of the work effort during this stage of the project. The client and architect reviewed and approved the schematic lighting design is developed further and refined in this process.

STAGE 5: CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

At this phase, we finalize all aspects of a lighting design project. Then prepare the final package and produce comprehensive construction drawings and documents, including lighting plans, elevations, sections, and details.

The handover and closeout stage in lighting design refers to the final phase of a project where the lighting designer transitions the completed lighting design to the client or end-user and ensures that all necessary documentation, training, and support are provided.
